Language:
Fancier - This is a person who is active in dog shows and stays with purebred dogs.
Gait - A type of movement
Groom - Trimming, brushing, bathing...making the dog clean and look ready for the dog shows
Handler - The person that presents a specific dog in the ring. (A handler may be hired by the owner of a dog to show his or her dog.)
Match Show - A practice dog show. No champion points are received. This is more for fun!
Miscellaneous Class - A class for dogs that are not catergorized in a specific group in the AKC Recognized Breeds List.
Pedigree - A record of a dog's family tree.
Points - Credits that are recieved when a dog wins a certain placement. These credits build up to make a dog into a champion.
Soundness -How the dog acts overall. The dog's mental and physical well-being.
Stacking - A pose that handlers would make their dog do. This is a way of posing a dog to allow the judge to view the dog overall. *The judge may want to check the bite of the dog, if the dog is stacked on a table*
